What Process Intelligence Is
Process Intelligence shows you how a process really runs, from the records your systems already keep. You bring an event log, and you ask what you want to know in your own words. The product works out the answer, writes it up as a report, and shows you how it reached every number.
You do not need to be an expert in process analysis to use it. You do not build dashboards, wire up blocks or configure calculators. You describe what you want, read what comes back, and adjust it if it is not quite right.
What you can do with it
- See the process. Draw the process map from your data, compare the paths cases take, and find where cases wait.
- Check it against your rules. Say a rule in a sentence - "an invoice is never paid before it is approved" - and see which cases break it.
- Measure it. Cycle time, bottlenecks, rework, the steps worth automating, and what changes if a step gets faster.
- Predict. Train a model that says which open cases are likely to end badly, and read how good the model is before you rely on it.
- Deliver. Ask for a report, read it, and share it, or save it as HTML, PDF or Word.
How it is organised
Your work lives in projects. A project holds one set of data and everything you make from it: the rules you state, the filters you name, and the reports you publish. Each project runs on its own, so you start it when you want to work and stop it when you are done.
Inside a project, the menu follows the order you work in:

How it differs from Process Mining
If you have used mindzie Process Mining, a few things work differently here:
- You ask; the product builds. There are no investigations, block notebooks or dashboard builders. A report is written for you from a request in plain words.
- Every number can be traced. A report says how it was made, so you can check the method behind a figure before you quote it.
- Your data keeps its objects. A process often involves several kinds of things at once - orders, deliveries, invoices. Process Intelligence keeps all of them, and you choose which one a case follows. You can change that choice later without loading the data again.
Before you start
- Process Intelligence is opened from the mindzieStudio welcome screen. You need the User role or higher in your tenant. If you cannot see it, ask your administrator.
- You need an event log - a file with at least a case id, an activity and a timestamp on each row - or the original tables from the system the process runs in.
